He is such a cool horse we have not been out competing since last July so I was a little nervous especially at a new venue Plumpton College and another level up ! But as usual BB never fails his behaviour is unbelievable he is not spooky at all just completely focused at getting on with his job I am so lucky to have such a lovely stallion he really is a dream ride !

I was a little nervous at Merrist Wood Show last Saturday, as I wanted to build on our good mark but equally I was conscious not to ask too much from Zaino and risk losing his confidence.  Its a fine line when you are warming up too much and he could explode not enough and I wouldn’t have enough hind leg to do the test.  Especially as he is so young and still developing those muscles, I timed it just about right although we stood at the entrance of the arena for about 5 mins waiting for the judges to return, this worked out in our favour as it just gives him time to relax.  He did a very good test but not without mistakes, 13 one times changes instead of 11 ! and a short change out of the extension !  Still plenty to work on !  Throughout the winter we will work on his strength and hope to Grand Prix next year !

Zaino has matured into a very talented horse indeed ! He competed at Hickstead on Sunday 29 September in his first Int 11 scoring 66.85% ! His piaffe and passage were very impressive and the transitions in and out of the movements were scored at 7.5 ! He made a mistake in the one times changes showing a little too much eagerness to please I just couldn’t stop him changing after 11 ones I think we did about 24 in the end !!!  His halts were a little hurried to say the least but we will work on them for the future.  It is difficult as at home he halts really well, but just gets a little too excited at shows.  I am very proud of him and looking forward to riding the Grand Prix next year !!!

Merrist Wood today what a day ! Great opportunity to test 7 year old Brennus B stallion at AM98 having been covering only the day before ! He showed a little tension in the trot but canter work was really good ! He was easy to ride, willing and such a gentleman to ride ! He came 3rd with 64% despite Mummy losing him 6 marks for going wrong at the end of the test ! Sorry BB we all make mistakes !!! X

Zaino was difficult to begin with in the warm up as we have not travelled with his best friend BB for a while and the calling to each other I knew was going to cause tension ! With trainer Sarah Millis and her training techniques, now was the time to apply them ! Sarah helped us in the warm up to stay focused and ride as we would in training despite the tension ! Zaino responded ! When i kept riding he kept responding sounds obvious but not always easy to put together at them same time when you need it ! To everyone else out there who doesn’t get it right always at the moment went it matters ! Hey know how you feel ! Having experienced our first INT 1 ! 

Fideramber and Dan Watson are part of the winning team with Gareth Hughes, Charlotte and Carl well done my old friend ! So wonderful to see him doing well !

His first foals are stunning Lukas a colt foal by Florestamber Florestan 1 and Lunar a filly from Ella Samarant 

Addington Premier League was a great show for Zaino coming 14th in the PSG against a very strong field.  Day one my nerves were dreadful we had to wait all day we were not on until 5.30pm and it was wet and windy!  Zaino got a little tight over the back in the tempi’s and made a mistake in the 4’s scoring 63.81% but gave me loads of confidence for Day 2.  We had a little hiccup in the warm up with the tongue over the bit but quickly put the noseband a hole tighter and we were ready to go.  A clean test nicely forward and flowing still need to work a little more on suppleness but it really is coming ending with a great score and 14th out of 40 in great company.  Feeling very confident now ready to tackle Int I !

We are happy to announce Brennus B Semen is available !  Brennus is a very talented dressage horse with an amazing temperament he is 7 years old and working at PSG showing great potential for the Grand Prix work.  He has a 100% success rate so far.
